Leading manufacturer of some premium beverages, International Breweries Plc (IBPLC), has celebrated its distributors across Nigeria for driving growth for the company.
According to IBPLC this is part of its strategic plans to honour its critical stakeholders who have stood behind the company over the years and had made an impact on the company’s growth either as new distributors or loyal partners.
Hugo Rocha, managing director of International Breweries Plc, said at the conference in Lagos that distributors have added value to the business over the years.
Rocha commended the distributors for the longstanding relationship, adding that IBPLC is delighted to express profound appreciation to its esteemed distributors for the commitment to the company’s diversified portfolio of brands over the past 12 months.
According to him, Despite the challenges in the operating environment, the company did well and achieved many milestones that call for celebration. Our partnership was not built for today but for the future. As a very ambitious organisation keen on meeting the needs of consumers across the country, neither the IBPLC nor its trade and distribution partners would rest on their oars. We are looking forward to 2022 which will be more impactful than 2021,”
Carlos Coutinho, national sales director of International Breweries Plc while acknowledging the role of the distributors as strategic trade partners in the organisation’s supply value chain lauded the distributors for staying the course ‘on this long, often challenging, but no doubt rewarding journey to build an exceptional, impactful, and far-reaching brand.’
Coutinho said the company is committed to producing products of the highest quality standards to ensure consumers enjoy safe products of the finest quality that comply with all legal requirements as stipulated by regulatory bodies such as the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), NIS standard for alcoholic and non-alcoholic products, and NAFDAC.
“We recognise and acknowledge your efforts in reducing unemployment in the country through job creation and getting our products into the hands of the consumers who reside in the most remote areas of the country. Our products are household names because of your support and dedication, and more than ever before, we are committed to improving our internal processes to help you achieve more,” he added.
The highlight of the event was giving awards to some distributors and some of the awardees are MacDen Communications, who emerged as the winner in the prestigious President Award Category, followed by J.O Ogungbola, who emerged as 1st runner-up and Kayomix Ltd as well as E.U.O Communications Ltd, both emerged second and third runners-up respectively.
Over the last 50 years, IBPLC has achieved giant strides as a producer of some of the finest quality beverages globally. The company has embarked on several CSR projects in the fields of health, education, poverty alleviation, and environmental sustainability across Nigeria.
The annual distributors’ conference is one of the initiatives aimed at celebrating its numerous distributors and motivating them to achieve more success in their businesses as they grow with IBPLC.
