Lekki Port Berths Second Ship With Shipment Of Seven Cranes

The Lekki Deep Seaport has received the second ship with seven cranes in preparation to begin commercial operations later in the year, the Management has announced on Friday.

The ship berthed one month after the successful delivery of three Super Post Panamax Ship to Shore cranes and 10 Rubber Tyred Gantries at the port.

A statement from the Lekki Port management, said the ship named ZEN-HUA 35, arrived in Lagos on Friday afternoon.

According to the management, brought the second batch of equipment comprising two Ship to Shore cranes with 115 packages of accessories and five Rubber Tyred Gantry cranes with 270 packages of accessories from Shanghai, China.

This bought the total number of cranes to five ship-to-shore cranes and 15 Rubber Tyred Gantry cranes.

The management added that the yard equipment for the port is expected to be shipped shortly.
