Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC), Magodo, Lagos has called for stronger collaboration and partnership to grow staff development strategies.
The management of PSSDC made this known during a courtesy visit to Lagos State University Management on Tuesday, 21st March 2023.
Adekunmilola Toluwase, Director General of PSSDC who led the delegation to LASU said the visit was to seek more areas of collaboration, partnership and the review of the existing Memorandum of Understanding, which was due for another round of review, after the initial signing.
Toluwase said the organisation is seeking collaboration in the area of staff training, staff promotion examination, recruitment test for non-teaching staff, documented case study on Lagos, review of LASU – PSSDC Diploma programme after 5 years amongst others.
According to him, the meeting is the beginning of new things to come.
“LASU is one of our most strategic partners. PSSDC is really interested in deepening a strong partnership, though it has been there all along, but, could be better. There are several things we want to kick – start. Those things we used to do and see if we can do new things. The State will be better for it and the Country will feel the impact, too,” he said
Adenike Boyo, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of LASU expressed optimism that the partnership would be of great benefit to the two firms as well as the people.
Boyo who represented Ibiyemi Olatunji – Bello,Vice Chancellor Lagos State University said the partnership is truly a renewed hope. Adding that a true nexus between the government agencies as well as the people.
“I want you to come up with a proposal of what we have been doing and new areas we can collaborate”, she stated.
