Shippers’ Council Plans To Establish Dry Ports In Borno

The Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has opened discussions with the Borno State Government to establish Inland Dry Ports in the state.

Emmanuel Jime, the executive secretary of the NSC opened the discussion when he led the executive management team of the Council to meet with Babagana Umara Zulum, governor of Borno State.

The meeting was held to discuss the progress on the establishment of one of the legacy Inland Dry Ports in the State, according to a statement by Rakiya Dhikru-Yagboyaju, deputy director of Public Relations Unit of Nigerian Shippers’ Council.

The meeting took place on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the governor’s office in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
