Shipowners lauds NIMASA’s Institutional Reforms in Maritime sector

Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) have been commended for its reforms that continue to strengthen the maritime sector.

This commendation was given by the Shipowners Association of Nigeria (SOAN) when its president, Sonny Eja, led the SOAN executive members on a working visit to NIMASA.

Eja said the visit is in furtherance of the Association’s commitment to partner with the Agency for the development of the maritime industry, especially in the area of fleet expansion.

Dayo Mobereola, NIMASA Director General in his welcome address to the delegation, emphasised the importance of collaboration and shared capacity development, noting that these are essential for industry growth.

The visit brought together NIMASA Management and the SOAN Executives, highlighting a shared commitment to deeper collaboration and capacity building across Nigeria’s maritime industry.
